Renewal by Andersen® Transferable Limited Warranty FAQs

At Renewal by Andersen®, we pride ourselves on providing the best replacement windows in the industry, with an exceptional Transferable Limited Warranty to match. In this blog, Renewal by Andersen® of Montana answers frequently asked questions about our warranties.

What Is Covered by Your Warranty?

Our Transferable Limited Warranty features a 20-year coverage on glass packages. This includes the standard High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass, including High-Performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ glass, High-Performance Low-E4 Sun™ glass, as well as glass packages with HeatLock® technology. Our glass packages are warrantied not to develop material obstruction of vision caused by manufacturing defects or premature failure.

Our Fibrex® material frames and sashes are covered by a 10-year warranty. The warranty covers flaking, rusting, blistering, peeling, cracking, pitting, corrosion, or rot, under normal use. Other non-glass, non-Fibrex material components, including hardware, weatherstripping and insect screens, are similarly warrantied for 10 years.

Is Installation or Workmanship Also Covered?

Not every window company offers coverage for their workmanship. Fortunately, we do. We take the quality of our work seriously, which is why every single Renewal by Andersen installer is hand-picked, trained and certified to ensure every installation meets our standards. Our installation work is warrantied not to fail from installation errors within two years after the installation date.

Why Is It Called “Limited” Warranty?

Given our extensive warranty coverage, there are circumstances that are simply beyond our control, and cannot reasonably provide coverage for. Such circumstances include what is typically defined as “acts of God,” unauthorized customizations and modifications to the windows, as well as issues caused by neglect. A detailed list of these conditions is included in our Limited Warranty coverage paperwork.

My Windows Failed Within the Warranty Period. How Do I Make a Warranty Claim?

You can set up a warranty claim the same easy way you got in touch with us the first time around: by calling us or using our contact form. One of our experts will inspect the defect and walk you through how we will correct it. As with the window replacement window process, you can rest easy knowing the warranty process will be hassle-free.
