The Renewal by Andersen® Window Replacement Process

At Renewal by Andersen® of Montana, we understand the stress involved in undertaking a home improvement project. This is why we’ve designed our process to be as easy and stress-free as possible. The following is an overview of our window replacement process.

Before Installation

Our process starts at the first consultation. Our expert consultant will arrive on time for your appointment and take the time to learn the details of your project, including your needs and your style preferences. They will then work with you in narrowing down replacement window options. Renewal by Andersen replacement windows are all custom-built, which means you have the freedom to fine-tune your choices down to the smallest details. At the end of the consultation, you will receive a no-pressure written estimate.

Once you have greenlighted the window replacement project and settled on the installation date, our expert craftsmen will build your new windows at our facilities in Minnesota. Each window is built to strict specifications to ensure a snug fit, which helps improve long-term window performance and energy efficiency. This is especially important when our clients choose sliding windows and other window styles with sashes. A close fit means fewer chances of heat leaks.

During Installation

Our installers will then arrive on installation day. After meeting with you and going over the details of the project, they will start preparing the installation areas. The areas surrounding the windows are cleared, while the floor areas are covered with drop cloths. To avoid tracking dirt into your home, our installers wear shoe covers the entire time they’re indoors.

The old windows will then be carefully removed, immediately followed by the replacement windows. Each new window will be carefully leveled, shimmed and screwed into place. The gap between frame and opening will then be sealed using foam insulation. Our installers replace the windows one at a time to minimize air leaks. This process has proven so effective that we can replace windows regardless of the season, even in the middle of winter.

After Installation

Each replacement window will be inspected for quality before our team starts cleaning up. You will receive a demonstration of its features, and you can further inspect it for quality if you wish. Ultimately, our team won’t leave until you are 100% satisfied with our work. Everything else will then be cleaned and put back into place. In fact, we will even dispose of your old windows for you.
